The Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) was proud to take part in the 6th Roundtable of the OECD Digital for SMEs (D4SME) Global Initiative, which took place last week in Paris.
This important gathering brought together a unique mix of policymakers, tech leaders, SME representatives, and innovation experts to discuss how small and medium-sized enterprises can stay productive, competitive, and secure in the era of AI. Among the distinguished speakers were Deputy Minister Valentino Valentini (Italy) and Deputy Minister Oleksandr Tsybort (Ukraine), whose perspectives added valuable depth to the debate.
The Roundtable also introduced the D4SME Pledge — a collective commitment to supporting the digitalisation of SMEs in a human-centric and inclusive way. This initiative resonates strongly with IIC’s mission of fostering innovation ecosystems and supporting the sustainable digital transformation of small businesses.
On the second day, the event spotlighted innovation hubs and public support agencies, demonstrating their vital role in scaling the impact of SMEs. The sessions, hosted by Paris&Co, showcased how local initiatives can drive broader digital and entrepreneurial growth.
We’re grateful to be part of this growing international community and look forward to continuing our collaboration in supporting European SMEs on their digital journey.
