On November 28–29, 2024, the 17th Logistics Congress SLOVLOG brought together experts, innovators, and leaders from the logistics industry in Slovakia. The event served as a vital platform for discussing current trends, challenges, and future directions in the logistics sector.

The President of the Industry Innovation Cluster (IIC) played a key role at the congress, moderating an entire conference block dedicated to the theme “Innovations as the Driving Force of Logistics”. This session focused on how technological advancements and innovative approaches are transforming logistics operations to meet the demands of a dynamic and sustainable future.

Key Topics Covered in the Innovation Block:

Štefan MaňúrHOPI SK:
He introduced the HOPI Digital Information and Training System, which addresses the evolving workforce needs in logistics. As automation and AI transform many roles, the system focuses on upskilling employees to excel in relational and solution-creation positions critical to client success.

Peter MačušJungheinrich:
He discussed adaptive supply solutions for production lines using autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). His presentation highlighted how these robots can replace traditional picking vehicles and tractors, adapt to fluctuating demand, and enhance human-robot collaboration for efficient internal logistics.

Jakub Velko108 Real Estate:
He showcased an interactive map of industrial and logistics properties in Slovakia, which offers clients the ability to filter parks by class (A, B, C) and access key details about each location. The map helps identify properties based on proximity to infrastructure, geographic positioning, and usage potential, providing a strategic tool for business activity planning.

The session attracted significant interest and fostered engaging discussions among participants, emphasizing the critical role of innovation in driving growth and resilience in the logistics sector.
