On Thursday, January 25, 2024, the 1st National Workshop of the ReBuilt project, financed by the Interreg Central Europe program and co-financed by ERRF and MIRRI SR, was held on the grounds of the Faculty of Architecture of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. The organizers of the workshop were the Slovak partners ReBuilt consortium, the Industrial Innovation Cluster and the Institute of Construction and Architecture of the SAV VVI.
The aim of the workshop was the initial mapping of the situation in the application of circular economy principles in the Slovak Republic. The participants, made up of industry representatives, entrepreneurs, academics, doctoral students, as well as students from the field of construction, construction technologies and materials, together identified the most significant missing elements, weaknesses, as well as obstacles to the wider application of recycling in the construction industry.
The results of the mapping will be included in the summary for all 9 participating countries during the solution of the project and will serve as a starting point for the creation of a common strategy and action plans for the circular economy in the construction industry in Central Europe.
